Ft. Worth here we come

We're leaving tomorrow about 11:00 am in the 1965 Chevelle for Ft. Worth Texas to participate in the Good Guys car show at the Texas Motor Speedway. There will be around 2500 cars on display so if your in the area come on out (you might even catch me on the track on Sunday:biggrin::wink:) We will be back late Sunday and back to work on Monday.

Texas Motor speedway is home to two Nascar races and I do plan to take a lap or two. :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
 
Wish I could make it out there...this is my first Saturday off work in 8 weeks so I'm guessing LOML will want some time with me. Have fun, and take some pictures!

Don't forget Cabelas! I can't drive that way without stopping!

Made the 300 mile trip with no problems, came down with two buddies one has a 32 Roadster, one has a 54 Chevy arrived here about 4, checked into the motel, went to dinner and now back at the motel. Leaving to check into the show at 6AM tomorrow, will take pictures.
 
Don't know if they still do it but there used to be a Corvette gathering in Witchita Falls the last weekend in September we used to go to then a lot of us would hang around and head to Dallas/Ft Worth for the state fair/etc the following weekend. You won't be ready to go back to work when you get back Monday. You'll have street rods and L79 Novas in your head.
 
Just, drove in and am dead tired. Had a great time:biggrin: except could not drive on the track as the track was toooooo wet after a down pore:frown: . Was to drive it at about 5PM yesterday and the sky opened up about 4PM:mad:. Only took a few pictures and will upload them tomorrow.
