These were taken from inside my house, through the window, about 50 to 75' away, with a Nikon D3200 ISO 200, F/5.6, 1/13 exposure, 200mm lens, while I was sitting in my easy chair.

I tried to snap a better photo earlier in the evening, when there was more sun and Woodrow had his mate, Twiggy, with him. Anybody that has around wood ducks knows that they are a skittish sort, and I failed at stealth.
We have mallards that hang out in our back yard, too. We're near a pond and a small lake. Our backyard is a stopover for a bit of dinner from the "quackhouse" shown in the first picture. Sometimes they like to roost on the peak of our roof and quack greetings to me as I leave for work.
Ducks make me chuckle.
