Hi there, the names JB.
I was inspired by a gentleman named Tom Potter way back in the day when he presented me with a turned pen he created. I was mesmerized by the chatoyancy of the pen. Ever since that day I've always wanted to get into wood turning.
Roughly ten years later I inherited a lathe in 2023 and began my journey in turning woods and acrylics. I enjoy turning woods with high chatoyancy to stay true to what inspired me. My favorite woods to work with are African Mahogany, Figured Maple, and Bubinga. I love using those three wood together in projects as they compliment each other. I've attached pics of some of my work over the year for your viewing pleasure.
I've joined IAP to acquire tips and tricks and to just enjoy conversations with fellow turners.
