These are the very first pens I have made. Just finished them this morning. Not sure of the wood...think it's either pecan or walnut. Just grabbed a blank the other night to halve and drill and ended up with these. Didn't like the look of the center band so I made the end the same diameter as the shell casing. Sanded to 400 then EEE then shellawax. I know they could be better but am happy for the first try. Also, first photo using new portable studio... needs bigger light bulbs. Gary Max supplies some nice casings eh?
