Four pens three woods. Monkey Puzzle, Pink Ivory and Panga Panga. My favorite Pink Ivory a great wood but I find difficult to turn.

Nice work. Pink Ivory is in fact very difficult. Best turned with carbide chisels and even then, it's very hard to turn.

Pink ivory is a new one for me. Available in the US? Those are nice pens, BTW.
John thank you for comments. Its Latin name is Berchemia Zeyheri I would imagine it's available in the US origins South Africa. Hope this helps.

I have purchased pink ivory pen blanks about a year ago at Woodcraft Houston South. At the time, I really didn't think it was difficult to turn with carbide tools. It finished very nice with ca.Although being a newbe then, I probably didn't know the difference. I still have a couple of blanks left and hopefully in the near future I will turn another pen with it. just saying……
