Hey all

Just had a request to make a fountain pen for someone. Have yet to make one but have been turning for a while. Any suggestions on kits? Looking to be somewhere between $15 and $25. Thanks!

I have had success with Baron and Churchill FP kits from Berea Hardwoods. You can also pick them up at Exotic Blanks. The kits are available in almost any plating (gold, chrome, etc.)

I like the Arete from Woodcraft. It's unusual in that it has a "hooded" tip. I don't know if you can change the nibs or not. It's only available in chrome. But it's a great looking pen. And it has a crystal in the clip.

Suggest that you look at the Leveche from Beaufort Inks.
It was the pen of choice made for the recent G7 conference delegates earlier in the year in the UK
