Found an inexpensive Delta bandsaw - any good?

I found a Delta Shopsmith 9" bandsaw for sale. Is $25 a good price?

It is a mediocre saw but darn cheap

Great job Dan. A band saw is a dream in the shop. And the music is so nice as well.

Everyone starts somewhere. Even a medicore saw is better then none.

I started out with that one and it worked well enough for me for 4 years. A 1/2" blade can be mounted on it and it really chews the wood, (as well as my Grizzly.) I'd say for $25 go for it.

Thanks all. It's meant for just basic cutting and should be much nicer than the old plastic miter box.

I'm picking it up tonight.
