At the Columbus Woodworking Show, I came across a booth with some beautiful snakewood blanks. Then I found a whole bunch of other blanks that were irresistible. Before the show I promised myself that I would not buy any more pen blanks. I broke my promise. The guys at the Logs to Lumber booth - logstolumber.net - kept showing me too many great woods. Rosewood burl, madrone burl, stabilized lilac...

Don't want to sound like a shill, and I don't get anything for plugging them. They are nice guys with beautiful woods and great prices.

I can second that. I didn't buy any of their stuff today (tremendous will power:redface:) but they did have some very nice timber!

I was there yesterday and talked to the guy. He even told me that he buys some of his burls from Nolan. I didn't buy any since I left the money at home.

Was it just Mike or was Jerry with him too?

Talked with him also spent a few dollars, his rosewood was beautiful ask him if he could get smoke tree burl said he has been searching fo it for 2 years (im on the waiting list:wink:)

I picked up some Honduras Rosewood Burl at the show from these people. Very good stuff. Unfortunately for them they could not get their credit card software working on their computer and probably lost some sales. They had a lot of wood and it was all quality. I plan on purchasing more from them in the future.
