Hey New People.....

I have some 1"x 1"x 5"+ Blanks for pratice. These are NOT the best blanks for pens unless you do something to them. Dye, Burn, Etc....

Even then, they are still very plain. HOWEVER, They are just wonderful for learning.

I have three small flat rate boxes to give away. I will pay the postage.
The only thing I ask is that you.... IN THE FUTURE ....do the same for someone else starting out in this hobby.
The blanks are sugar maple, cedar, black walnut. I will have them marked for you.

Here is the deal.
You must be a new member of the IAP in the last 4 months.
You must live in the USA. Sorry, I am not shipping over seas.
You must then send me your mailing address. IM them to this profile.

Lets see just how fast these are spoken for.

I am constantly amazed at the generosity of the members here, in advice, sharing experiences, and in providing for others starting out. Thanks for all that you guys do here at IAP!

Even though I qualify for this, I will pass it up as I have a TON of blanks already, just wanted to say thank you. :D
 
I will take one of your boxes. I have worked and saved for quite a while to buy, beg, and acquire the tools and equipment to begin in this hobby. I have made exactly one pen. I was actually surprised out how well it turned out.

After three days I have not recieved one address from this posting. I have recieved a request which I took care of and mailed out a box of wood.

HOWEVER, I still have three flat rate boxes of blanks for new members?
Is there something wrong with my offer? Are people afraid?
I am totally confused. Can someone please explain this to me?

I would be very grateful to have one of your boxes. I have just been turning pens for about 2 months. I still have lots of practice I can do!
If you still have a box, I will send you a PM with address and I thank you.
 
Dee Dee, There is a box of blanks headed your way.

So far, two boxes are gone and there is one left. I have sent one box out to another turner that will use them for Veterans Pens.

So, I am looking for one more person that is new and needs some blanks to pratice on.

I'm still new! :) COuld definately use more blanks to explo...practice with! :)

I find it funny that I was asked a question by a fellow turner, and both, his question and my answer are AWOL.....?? Any one know why ??

Was any one else offended by my remark...........??
