So I started Thursday morning. Had my posts set in concrete a few hours later (picture 1). This was a family project for my oldest's family life merit badge. So here are some shots of the family working (pictures 2 and 3). And then the completed piece (picture 4) and a happy camper (picture 5).
While this may have some of the features a pre-fab unit, trust me it was not. The deck is 2x6 with 16" center joists. The posts are 4x4s and the arm with the swing is 12' long. The children's director said, "Do I need to get signs saying no one over ____ age is to play on it?"
I replied, "You can.... but it is not necessary "
