Ok, so one of my friends wife just got the horrible scary news that she has breast cancer. they are having a benefit on march 1st. I was hoping yall could make some suggestions on pen kits and blanks for me to make for the silent auction. main thing is being able to get the parts quick so i can have them ready. I don't have alot of funds to throw in but i am hoping some pens may sell there and give them a few bucks.

Silent auctions are not always the best way to raise money. It all depends on MANY factors.
The idea is GREAT but the actual sales are out of your hands.
I would strongly suggest that you sell the pens yourself and you can donate the $ to the benefit.
I am just trying to warn you that you may be disappointed.
If you have some nice pen(s) in a box and let people know the story, you probably will have a more favorable response. My guess is that the person that buys won't be at the auction anyway, and they still want to offer support.
