I've seen videos of casting flowers. I would like to do a rose paperweight. Anyone here done that? I'm not an expert by any means, but I think I could do it with some advice. Thanks.

Scotty, I'm no expert at this but back in the 70's we dried flowers using Borax. I would think that before trying to cast a rose, you would need to dehydrate it to preserve it. We would bury the flowers in Borax and leave them for a few days. They would be totally dried but maintained their shape and color.

Rice is also known and used as a dehydrator. May be bury the flower in rice for a couple of days could also do the job...;)

I am not sure if she Kayla Cooper is a member. I met her at the Southeast Pen Gathering and she casts dried flower in some type of resin. She does beautiful work.
