On Saturday, I will be traveling to the Sarasota, Bradenton area of Florida. We are going to "hang out" a few days with friends and maybe do some shopping. Are there any good woodworking/turning supply stores in the area? Actually anything you think might be of interest to me...
Thanx in advance...

Mike
there is a Woodcraft store in Clearwater about 1 hour north of Sarasota and also a little known Cocobola dealer in Pinellas Park who often has some great product that would be around 45 min N of Branden

I think Clearwater is where we fly into....Is St Pete the same airport?
Do you know the name of the Cocobolo dealer?
Thanx..

Thanks....I will stop in!!

Also checkout www.woodturningblanks4u.com in Bradenton (just of I-75 right near Sarasota.

Steve runs the place out of a large shop builing next to his house so call or email to make sure he knows you are coming.

Lots of great bowl & spindle blanks in stock including rosewood, camphor, ambrosia maple, etc. I was just there last weekend and picked up about 15 nice spindes for boxes for under $100.

Patrick, That is exactly the kind of place I am looking for...
I have a day to myself and my friend has provided me with a vehicle, so I will stop!
Thanks!!
