Fishing Gloat;

Last Fridays fishing trip on Lake Michigan. We put one back for over limit and the one guy that said he was a pro lost 9 fish all by himself. 28 fish on, one released and 17 for the dinner table. I am a weekend charter captain which is why you hear a lot more from me in the winter than summer.

That bite has been going crazy in WI for 2-3 years now - a bajillion salmon and no food for them in the lake - they practically jump into the boat!

Thats the name of the boat.

Miss Vicki is the boat name, and the boat was named for the LOML. And those King salmon are tasty. Half of that catch went to the smoker. MMMM good.[]

If those are Kings, I don't think they'd be legal in Alaska. [}][] I landed a 50 pounder once... fought him for an hour and wound up about 3 miles down river.

Those are Kings, with two lake trout in the mix. Lake Michigan just does not have the forage base alaska has. Mid 20 pounders and a rare 30 is about as good as it gets. There is one 19 pounder in the picture.
