This Sierra click is made with New Zealand Flounder skin cast in Royal Palm resin , finished with Zona paper

That is different. Have not seen that material used on a pen before. Came out great. How do you like that click pen kit?? Any troubles with them?? I am looking for a good click pen kit. Have a request for one.

Very nice! I grew up close to the Texas Gulf Coast and caught a lot of flounder. I noticed the cut on your skins and saw the circular piece missing at the top. Right off I thought that's where you cut the fish to remove the head and guts all at the same time. Thanks for posting the pen and brining back a bunch of "Good Ole Memories".

I like the Sierra Click pen no problem with the mechanism, but if you want a better one look at Beaufort pen kit and the Tempest pen kit is probably the best Click pen mechanism I ever seen and used, it look like a Slimline but tubes are odd diameter and I love this one better

Thats pretty cool. I love it. I bet I would go great with the PSI fly fishing RB kit. First I've seen of fish skin blanks. I also saw my first ostrich skin blank the other day.

Both the Fish Skin and Ostrich are wonderful. Your creativity with casting is amazing. Keep us inspired Serge.

Be well.

that looks fantastic I have been working with snake skin and had trouble with the resin darkening the skin an making it splotch until I started sealing and soaking skin in ca glue. What method did you use to affix the fish

Sorry for the late reply, busy at work , I use E 6000 glue who is special for leather , I didn't seal with CA but I use for the first time Royal Palm Epoxy resin , into pressure pot at 50 PSI ,
Hope this help
