First two turkey calls

I decided it was time to turn some of turkey calls. Here are my first two. The first one is mesquite, the second is redwood burl.

That redwood burl one is gorgeous! Makes me want to take up turkey hunting just to use it. Great job on both. How dis you finish them?

Jeremy, those are really pretty! I have a friend that's a turkey hunter. Is there one type of wood that's better for sound quality? Hard, soft, what am I looking for?
