Well, tried my first batch of composite casts last night! They are pine cones mixed with smaller Alder Cones in Alumalite Clear Slow. Overall, they turned out very nice and I cut them oversize to make some nice handles for my carving tools and beer tap handles. They measure 1.5 inches square by about 5.75 inches but I have not squared the ends yet. Turned out well for my first casting. Good thing I checked to make sure my molds would fit in my pot. They DIDN'T - so I ended up putting the pot on it's side and building a cradle to give clearance for the latches.

I agree also! The "green" one actually started as an Orange, Yellow and Black but I poured too soon and the colors mixed together into a dark green.
