Made this last week from a 5 x 5 block of Cherry. Easier than I thought it was going to be.

Nice, Bobo! Been wanting to try one, too. Was it green or dry?

Hard to tell. I have four blanks like that and they've been sitting on a shelf in my basement for over a year still sealed. I didn't weigh them or anything and there was no moisture as I was turning it so I'm guessing it was close to being dry. The finished piece has not moved at all since finishing it so I guess I got lucky. It was a practice piece so I was not all too concerned.
