That looks about right for dyed tiger maple. Which look were you going for and you think you didn't achieve?

Maybe not a winner but it would probably have made it to top 5 in a slimline contest... it would have scored points with the slim slimline secret society...

I would have liked it to be a bit darker, but that's on me.
