My first time turning Desert Iron Wood (Steven Davis). It is flawed but is beautiful. It has a home with the kid at HF who always ends up loading my Jeep with the heavy stuff like the lathe and locking cabinet. I think it's beautiful and will turn one for myself.

Beautiful pen. Excellent work.

I've got a small board of Desert Ironwood I need to cut up for blanks.

Very nice pen and good colors an grain in the wood. My complements on the gift to the kid at HF.
Thank you! He asked how much I sell them for and I told him I'd participate in the next local craft fair. He said he'd buy a couple so let him know. I'm glad no one has said that I am foolish for giving away a pen I turned. I won't always give them away. :)
