First time back to wood in a long time - black cherry burl and purple heart

I've been in the resin world for so long making custom pens that I forgot just how beautiful wood can be.

This is black cherry burl and purple heart with black ebonite for the core and threads. No finish beyond sanding, EEE and a buffer.

That last section near the nib looks like Birdseye Huon pine to me.:biggrin:
