Just added Sierra's to my "can-do" list. Here's the first 2 and I got new woodcraft acrylics to play with. They are Carmine on the left and Copper Haze on the right.

Those are some nice pens! I have turned 2 of the new woodcraft acrylics and one cracked while drilling and the other one tryed to. Had the second one clamped in the vise and a c-clamp on the other end and a piece of backup wood clamped at the end. They also seemed a little more chippy than the other acrylics i have turned. (Im new so only turned a few.) Did you notice any problems with yours ? Mat just be me.

Thanks. I drilled them very slow and had no problems there. I actually stop drilling every 1/4 inch or so and let the bit cool. On the lathe, I found I could use any tool without chipping at all.
