Up until now, all of my sales have been word of mouth, however, last week a friend of mine who throws pottery asked me to join her table at a Farmer's market that happened today. Normally I wouldn't have done it, but the price was great (free) and it was a 3 hour event.

So I had about 15 key chains, and about 30 pens ranging from $35 - $150. The first sale of the day was a $95 Hummingbird Elegant Beauty (Pics are shown), I then sold a flat top fountain pen, and a secret compartment key chain. Made $151...not too bad from my first "show".

That is a great start for sure!! Now you have (most of) the money you need for entry fees for an actual show, and only a couple of inventory items to replace! Nice score for sure!! I hope you have many more just like it!!

PS... No pendants? Those are pretty hot still. I sell them for 20 or $25 each, and they use a little puck of resin, and a half hour to make. I actually kinda like makin em. Pretty fun, the sanding is a pain, but it is still fun none the less! Just a thought.

Thanks, all.

Ron, I actually have 3 pucks of home brew resin, plus tons of wood that needs to be cut up. I had a small misshap about 3 months ago when I turned corian into a pendant. A chunk got taken off my hand, (yea yea I know no pics...anyway) so I am a little nervous. Of course I know what I did.
I am still working on building up my inventory on everything else, pendants will come.

Plus I am busy with special orders...I got 2 full size majestics, ordered yesterday. Plus I need to work on a 8 pens for a display for a marketing firm in Florida who may be placing a 50+ order in a few weeks. busy busy busy:biggrin::biggrin:

COOLNESS!!!

If you are interested, I can tell you how i make PR pendant blanks for PENNIES! Just Pm me and i will tell you all about it.

reply sent!! Have fun with the megaton of practically free PR blanks you are about to have. The "L.E." (double sided) pendants i sell for 25, and the regular ones for 20.

Congratulations! Now, I have a feeling the word of mouth will spread as fast and far as the hummingbird travels.
