A cabinetmaker friend gave me his scraps so I had some beautiful walnut available for my first pen! I was so antsy to finally have my tools set up that I grabbed a kit that I wasn't super fond of.... but it's growing on me. After getting a feel for my chisels, lathe speed, and experiencing a deep catch or two out popped a pen. Tried to be daring with a more ergonomic shape and it's relatively enjoyable to write with.
