Good work. I need one. Don't have a cow (no pun intended). You haven't experienced life until you milked a cow for the first time. First time for the cow that it. those buggers can KICK !!

The milk stools I remember using were an old board nailed to the end of a short piece of fence post. Yours is much nicer.

OK, here's a story my dad liked to tell about milking cows. 
When he was a little tyke, about 5 years old, his mom & sister (9 years older than him) would milk their two cows and his job was to hold the ropes tied to their calves to keep them away while the milking was going on.
One day he got bored with just standing there watching, so he braided part of the calves' tails together then whacked one of them on the rear end. He said that calves started jumping & bellowing, the cows started kicking, milk pails went flying and his mom & sister both fell off their stools.
His closing comments on this story --- "I caught heck for that one!"

That's a really nice stool, Ruth. We usually just sat on an upside-down bucket.
