First Metal Pens

Here are my first two metal pens.
Aluminium blanks from johnnycnc, thanks John.
Nice and easy to work with, a bit tricky to get a good finish.

The Sierra has had some of my acrylic segmented into it.

Thats a hellava finish on the ally, Andy. That must be a much better grade aluminium than the rubbish I've ever used. [8D]

Those are fantastic Andy, to be honest I am not sure about the segmented one, but I can really appreciate the work that went into it.

Great finish on the slimline, I can see the glow from up here![8D]

I have turned an aluminium Baron, but cannot get time to sand it to finish it![V]

How exactly are these turned? I can't picture how one would turn them on a wood lathe.

Hi Andrew,
These blansk are turned in exactly the same way as you do with a wooden one, same tools same speed.
The only thing i noticed is that you have to take off a little at a time.
