First Knot

A local buddy of mine, who is getting back into pens, took a look at the knot pictures I showed him and figured it out QUICK!

In return for me showing him how to do a decent CA finish, he helped me with my first knot. Not a bad deal! :biggrin:

I used three layers of dyed veneers from Woodcraft and it fit just right in a 3/32" kerf.

He (Ken) had an extra Carbara kit so that's what we did...I'm not totally sold on the kit, but I'm happy with the knot, for a first try anyway!

OOps my bad. I did not see the thumbnail link. I thought that was part of your signature. Just a suggestion lose the scroll art in the background. By the way that is a nice piece in itself too.
