I received several tips in the penturning forum while making this. Comments and constructive criticism are welcome - even desired. Couple of things I think I would do differently
- smaller section - seems too thick
- The threads on the barrel for the cap and section seem fragile- I will post the tap and die sizes later but they feel pretty fragile

I like the idea of a rollerball being done this way. Not sure why more people do not do this. Usually always fountain pens. Nice material and as for design maybe my only suggestion would be to slimline the nib section where the refill comes through to make it look more sleeker if possible. I do not know what is involved so maybe not possible.

Looks pretty good. I would do fewer cap threads to make the front end more visually appealing by either shaving some off the front or not threading all the way back to the step in the barrel (or both). I usually shoot for about 1/4" to 3/8" of cap threads.

I like the idea of fewer threads - made a note on my notes!
Would it be acceptable to make and aluminum plug in the end of the barrel and thread it? I did that on my first one 4 years ago!

I agree john - I can put it back on the mandrel and slim it out some - will do that this week

I like the idea of 1/4" - mine was 3/8" - will modify the next one!
