First Kitless pen

I know that many of you will be fed up of "First Kitless Pen" posts, but here is another one!

Antique Ivory blank from my local Turner's Retreat, with a Bock #5 nib and housing.

Threads cap to body 12x.75
Cap 14mm tapered slightly to 12.6mm and 67 mm long
Body 12.55mm down to 11.5mm and also 67mm long (excluding threads.
Disappointed with the number of turns needed to unscrew, but hopefully Santa is on his way with my request for a triple start tap and die.
I painted the interior of the section, because of the black nib housing.

We all had first kitless pens at some point. Yours is quite nice. I material is quite attractive, and good idea painting the cap.
I'm sure you'll get the thread depth corrected. Well done!

Beautiful pen! You got the the body, cap threads, front section dimensions spot on, no large steps. It took me a while to that area of my early pens right. Nice proportions too.
If you are careful you can reduce the number of threads assuming you have enough length in the body. The easiest way is to shorten the body trimming the threaded end. You could also turn away some threads in the cap, This would keep the length of the pen the same.

Again a wonderful pen.
