So are the Jr gents also called the Baron or are these straight instead of faceted Nibs

Jeff, I have never turned a baron. So I really can't answer your question. Here's another pic that shows the nib on this one.

Very well done Tim! The gold finish looks great with the purple curly maple.
Jeff the JG2 and Baron are totally different kits made by two different manufacturers.
