Tried my hand at a mallet. Hard maple finished with BLO. 11 oz leather on one side of the head. I didn't do a edge to keep the handle in so I used a knife pin to reinforce it. On the next one, I'm going to try the wedge.
Turned the tenon for the handle on the lathe and then shaped it with a spokeshave. First time using that tool. A lot of fun to use.
