First Gentleman's pen

This is my first Gentleman's pen. This is also my first fountain pen. I know my photo's are notthe best, but all comment's are truly accepted. I am still new to turning,only 3 month's now, and still trying to master new pen style's. Thanks again for all the comment's they really help me alot.

This is 2 tone ebony. It is finished with 5 coats of ca and wet mm sanded to 12000. then polished.

Nice looking pen Chuck.[][]Fit is great. Bottom photo looks as if you had trouble with the finish on the cap. Is that so or is it just the photo?

Second photo looks out of focus to me rather than bad finish... this looks like black and white ebony.. one of my favorite woods to work with.

Thanks for the comments. The 2nd photo is out of focus. The finish is the same on top and bottom.

very nice. i have some b/w ebony waiting for me to get inspired, but i've never turned anything in it. Gent is one of my favorites, though they don't sell too briskly for some reason. Try the Rhodium finish sometime, esp. with a very dark wood and see how you like it. I've found I prefer the gold with lighter woods and rhodium with darker ones. YMMV.
