I got a wild hair in my headstock and tried to do a fully segmented hollow form out of birch ply, padouk, and walnut. The form blew off while beginning the clearing of the inside. It broke at the first layer in the middle of the ply. It was in a bowl stabilizer but it popped free anyway. I was able to repair it which is the picture shown. I think it will have to be fully stabilized to turn it successfully. The outside is NOT fully shaped.
The second pic is a small vase I was working on and went to far with a bad catch. When I tried to celan it up, I went through the wall. I added a segmented ring of bamboo and padouk.
Comments and suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone.
