First Filigree

here is my first Filigree pen, it is a woodcraft Americana Gold Filigree with Purple Heart wood and a CA finish:

The dragon in the background kinda takes away from the pen. Nice job on the right wood for the right filigree. Usually I do not like these kits for they take away from the wood but ya did a good job.

Yeah no dragon but the pen is fantastic. I have wanted to try a filigree but haven't gotten around to it yet. Really pretty pen!

Very nice pen. But I think I would of used a plain darker or black wood for the top this will show off the fittings and Purple heart is fine for the bottom.

Remember Eric, it's what the customer likes. I have made two and both sold quickly. Ladies love the filigree's.

Tracy. how did you like turning the top barrel, with it needing to be so close on tolerances? Hope you had your caliper handy.

Aye Steve, that top barrel is a PITA, three trips to the lathe, kept getting the finish to thick.

Nice looking pen. I have not tried one of these myself, however I do think it adds some class to the pen. Good job.
