First Duck Call

Decided to try my hand at making a duck call. The kit is a double reed STAT kit from Woodcraft, the blank is a scrap of lignum vitae that I had in the shop. The lignum vitae gets a great shine just by sanding and burnishing.

Sounds pretty good. I'm going to have a friend field test it for me.

I had a friend request a call. I made one and sent it to him. I don't have previous experience with them, so he's going to send one that he likes (shape and such) for future reference.

Seems guys have preferences on not only appearance, but also size and shape.
