First Deer Pen

Had a client ask if I had ever made a deer horn pen. Told them I hadn't and I just happened to be given a small rack.

I told him I would try and if he liked it, he could purchase it.

You will see the horn was curvy and was it a deal. Well I made a pen and he liked it and he bought it.

Besides the good job done to make it, the antler used is an exceptional piece.
I've turned antler a few times. Did a pen in Buffalo horn years ago and decided never to use horn again. Unlike antler, it smells like burnt hair while you turn it. It did however make a beautiful pen.

It reminded me of getting a root canel done. The horrible smell lol.
