First Closed end pens

Here are my first two closed end pens, one Baron(Bloodwood) and one Sedona Black acrylic). Aldo just received and order from CUSA and here is one of their Legionaire acrylics on a Jr Gent II. This blank is very attractive, even more so than the photo shows.

I've used that blank and agree, it sells quickly!! (Didn't know it was called Legionnaire - what, ............... is it SICK???)


Nice turning job on the "closed ends".

Don't know about "sick" but it sure doesn't look that nice in the catalog pics. Only once I got into it did it start looking really nice. Kind of what I would call a "suprise" blank.
Ed, initally this reminded me of sone of your "cats" (similar to ocelot or leopard,--don;t remember the exact name)

It is a very unique material. Varies from one batch of blanks to the next, but, as you say, usually makes a pretty interesting pen (THAT SELLS, pretty quickly)

These were buffed very little. The BAron was intended to be almost a matt finish. I have just gotten buffing equipment and will be playing with it.
