First closed end pen

I have a friend of mine that is into the "Steampunk" scene and I turned a nice fountain pen for her to got with the outfit. After I posted it to FB one of her friends asked if I could do a stake pen to go with his Steampunk outfit. So I tried my first closed end pen, and here is the result. Comments welcome.

Was the blank end left there on purpose for the customer?

@SDB777 yes, it twist from the end.
@watch_art yes, he wanted it to look similar to an old railroad spike, with the square end to match. Just so happens I was able to turn it between centers then drill it out.
