For a first attempt I think it came out quite well if I may say so myself.
I would like to thank this group for the inspiration and the instructions on how to accomplish this pen.
Without you all I probably would have never achieved success.
Thanks for looking! 100_5163.JPG100_5162.JPG100_5161.JPG

Great job, Looks very precise. The infill looks wider than most. How thick are they and what angle did you cut at? My first Celtic pen was a hot mess, yours is great. Looking forward to seeing many more.

Nice work for sure. A more varied color would work and also thinner blade used would help. I like to cut mine at 52 degree and for some reason that looks tighter and should be a little more stretched out than mine. Maybe because the infill. I like 1/16" to 3/32" for infill. Anyway good job and hope to see more.

David; Very nicely aligned! You can use a 7-1/4" circular saw blade to create a narrower kerf This will reduce your depth of cut, but for pen blanks it isn't important! This will not work on a SawStop saw.
