I have been wanting to try making a Celtic knot in wood. I though I would try a pepper mill blank first. I had a piece of black walnut approx. 3" square and some veneer pieces. I used two colors of veneers.
While setting up the saw to cut the kerf it took several tries to get the depth where I wanted it. On my last pass I accidentally turned the piece around and cut an x in the wood. Not wanting to waste the wood I glued it up and did the same thing at 180 degrees. Came out with an interesting pattern.
The pictures are from my cell phone so quality is not best, also the mill is not screwed down I just set it there for photo.
Thanks for looking please C&C welcome.
