So this was my first bottle stopper. I got the entire kit that included the stopper, the festival blank, drill bit, and stopper chuck. It was a lot bigger piece of wood then I thought I needed too. The shape just kind of worked itself out. I wasn't sure if I liked it until I got it put together. I did 2 thin ca coast and then lost count of my med ca coats. I did MM wet all the way up. I think I will do more of these at some point.

Looks nice. I think the next batch I make I am going to dip them in poly or varnish and see how they come out. Have to rig up something to wick off the excess as it dries but shouldn't be difficult.

Nicely Done Todd. I got the same kit. If I had known the size block I needed, I wouldn't have used the entire piece of Dymondwood.

Striking pattern in it. Is that dymondwood?

Not sure as I got it from PSI and they call it their festival blank. This is the description from their site.

"These striking wood blanks are made from resin impregnated dye and laminated colored hardwood veneers."
