Bob it weighs 1.8 oz. I weighed 5 2 piece pens - graduate was the heaviest at 2.0 others down to 1.3

Outstanding! Pardon my ignorance of metal work, but...with wood/acrylic, I sand after turning with chisels. Is there an equivalent step with metal? What do you use to remove tool marks, etc. Doesn't feel like sandpaper would do it.

I turned it with a skew, sanded to 2000, polished with mag/aluminum polish on buffing wheel
Now *that's* a WOW pen !!!!! .... SUPERB !!!!!
What type/grade of Aluminum, please ?

Thanks for the compliments! This was a learning curve! Used no tubes and learned a lot about polishing aluminum!

Very nice, I've been wanting to make an AL pen. What stock did you start with? Was it a thick walled tube or did you bore a solid piece?

I started with a solid rod 7/8" of 6061

you done a fantastic job on that Keith seeing as you used a wood lathe too
