These are pictures of my boss making a fireplace hood for the set we are building. It is a stryro-foam glue-up that he turned using a wire wheel on a hand grinder.

It does make a mess. He spent days gluing it up using gorilla glue. It has a 6 inch diameter sono-tube center.

It took him about 15 mins maximum to shape it.

Very creative! I think set builders have a neat skill set and are challenged regularly!
Is that a Burl slab I see in the background in the first pic?
