I am gluing up a blank using alternating layers of ironwood and tru-stone. I don't know how, or with what I'm going to finish coat this concoction. Any suggestions?

Not sure why but lacquer would be what I would try.

You may want to test ca on a scrap of tru-stone to see if it works okay. I would be worried about the heat generated from ca curing messing with the true stone.

Another opion wold be leaving it natural and just maybe oiling the ironwood. With as hard as iron wood is is could probably handle it better than most woods.

Thanks Vick, I was planning to simply oil the turning and leave it at that, but I thought there may be a more complex and difficult way of screwing it up. Having the heart of a true penturner, I like to make things as complicated as humanly possible.
