I have never used lacquer before so I have no idea what is next. After spraying on 6 coats of lacquer and letting it dry over night what would be the next step? My son made an ornament for the wife and we need to finish it.

Greg, I am sure it is dry to the touch, but it will take at least 4-7 days to cure. Assuming the finish looks good, it is done, nothing else you have to do. If you are giving it as a gift today, I wouldn't foundle it much. You could not get away with a sand and buff in one day, just isn't going to happen, if that was on your mind. The finish is to soft.

I just bought what I consider new from PSI. It is a laquer based sealer and gloss coat that are applied with the lathe running and heat cured. I really liked it and promises to provide different protection. Harry
