Finished up a few Vail Roller Balls today

I finished up a few Vail roller balls this morning. I had finished turning the barrels several days ago and got around to the assembly this morning.
I still have a few more of these discontinued pen kits that I'll peck away at in the next few weeks. I was daydreaming when I was turning the clip end of the grey one and went undersize. It was an alluminite blank of unknown origin that just turned way too easy so I got careless. It still happens from to time to time and keeps us back on track.

Blanks L to R : Berea AA-03(BTW) ; Berea AA-304(BTW) ; InvisaBlank Black/blue ; Unknown ; California Van Gogh ( old Exotic Blanks -gift from a friend )

I'm not familiar with the Vail kit.

I especially like the 5th pen ... I think that is the Van Gogh blank .

The Vail was something that BearToothWoods used to sell. I think it was designed by Ernie but for some reason they stopped getting them made.

That's too bad, it's an appealing kit, not gaudy at all.

It was also available in a postable version. I still have a few in black chrome.
