Finished pieces

Bill Melber gave methese two Ikeban pots.One is antique braass, the other is black. I made these two pices to fit them. The dyed piece is poplar with blue, green, red, and yellow dye added, lacquered and polished. The second is redwood burl with sapwood and CA finish.

Thanks Bill again for these. I wanted to share the finished pieces with you.

Two good looking pieces Larry, but,why did you leave the sidewalls so thick on the Redwood burl? It doesn't take away from the turning, I was just wondering why?

You need to have some weight in the piece to support the flowers when they are set into the Kezan pieces
