Finish for Key Ring

Beside CA, what is the best alternative for a Key Ring finish?

I use EEE cream and behlans woodturners finish (friction polish) on my wood key chains. I have one that is about a year old and has held up really well. Plus this finish takes about 1 minute to apply.

I use plexi. So far it's held up very well.
