My son showed up at my house last night with a girl. Not just any girl but his new fiance. I thought she was a stripper or something but no, she is an Army JAG Captain. I explained how much I disliked officers and she agreed with me (sucking up early, good sign). I asked him if he was going to feel funny about being married to a higher ranking officer and he laughed and pulled out his brand new Captains bars.......This is all I need, 2 pain in the **** officers around. At least I can still pull the parent card. So congratulations to Tony(Gruntie on here) and Sharon, may you both drive each other crazy.

Great news Neil on both fronts. Too bad you didnt stop him early in from going the wrong route! At least he got his railroad tracks.

Army courtesy is to treat a civilian with the respect of a higher ranking officer. At least that is what they taught me.

Congradulations on the great family news.

Being a LEO, I don't fit in the civilian catagory....Whoo hoo.

I have gotten a couple of emails from people concerned about what I said about my future DIL. This is how it is in my family and that is how we talk to each other, we throw food at dinner to each other and we have a great time together. My son is 16 years younger than me so he grew up almost as a little brother that I took care of and we are pretty tight due to that. But just to make some people happy. I will post something nice..

Tony, I am proud of you and what you have done and the choices you have made in life. Congratulations on finding a great women and you better take good care of each other.

P.S. I still think she would have made a great stripper.:wink::biggrin:
