Howdy!
I started turning bowls about 4 years a go - and typically turn big stuff - with my largest being 24-3/4" diameter. But I watched a demo by Barry Gross at our club too weekends ago ( Carolina Mountain Woodturners ) and was so fascinated that I took his class - 2 days in a row.
So - just returned from the AAW Symposium with a load of stuff to turn and make. Pens are pretty new to me - and looking forward to learning from you all.

Welcome Tim. Enjoyed your enthusiasm on the AAW site, figured you'd be here quickly. The "Other things we make" thread will be a place to share some of your bowl work, which is awesome. Best wishes!

THANK YOU - to one and all. I will dig in and try to contribute as I learn.

Edgar - I was born in Abilene - and raised every there is oil in TX...and the edge of LA:)

Earl - Thanks for the welcome from a fellow AAW member. I was pleased to see a significant amount of pen turning demos and vendors at the Symposium.

Ed - Thanks for the links - I will likely get lost in all the info!šŸ˜

Alan - Top 'O the Mornin'! ( I am Gaelic football fan BTW...šŸ˜€)
